2012 BMW 1-Series - now from BMW
When we reported that the 2012 BMW 1 Series had leaked out yesterday, we did say it wouldn’t take long for BMW to release details officially, especially as there were so many official photos of the 2012 1-Series. In the end it took all of 24 hours for BMW to get it together and send us details, which lets us fill in the gaps from yesterday on detail, although there’s really nothing new on the photo front. We know from yesterday that the 2012 BMW 1-Series is bigger than the outgoing car, and that the styling, particularly on the nose, is a more confident statement than before.
The new Bentley Continental GT Speed will debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed and feature in the daily Michelin Supercar Run. Bentley sent us a press release last night with their news for the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which included the news that they will debut a new model and that it would feature in the Supercar run. This Jaguar XE is running a 3.0 litre diesel lump
Earlier today we ran an update on the ongoing speculation on Jaguar’s small sports car, confirming that Jaguar will debut the Jaguar XE at Frankfurt in September. And now we can add to that by reporting that it WILL be getting the option of a 3.0 litre diesel lump when it goes on sale in 2012. We’ve speculated for some time that Jaguar will add the very good 3.0 litre TDV6 from the XJ and XF to the range of engines on the XK.
